Objectives

This course is designed as the culmination of the CS Department's Senior capstone sequence. It is the second course in the sequence CSIS 471/472. The main objective is for the entire sequence is for each student to complete a senior project for which a portfolio will be created consisting of sample preliminary, intermediate, and final design docs, complete source code from the project, and a fully documented user's manual. Each student should draw on the total knowledge base they have gained throughout their time at GFU. This course will focus on the initial project definition and requirement documentation. A final presentation will be required with an audience of students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals.

Course Organization

Students will give mini-seminars on their progress to date at class meetings along with advanced topic discussions on current software engineering research. Students will also participate in workplace etiquette training. Students will also take the ETS Major Field Exam in computer science.

I do not expect you to give more than 100% towards this class, however I also will accept no less.

If you have specific physical, psychiatric, or learning disabilities and require accommodations, please contact the Disability Services office early in the term so that your learning needs may be appropriately met.
